How to remove acrygel?

The procedure for removing an acrylic gel is designed to remove the false nail without damaging the natural nail. Fortunately, acrygel is an easier product to remove, but this still depends on the gel application.

Removing Acrygel

Acrylic gel can be removed with a polishing file or an electric nail file. In both cases, the acrygel must be buffed down to reveal the template.

  • Use a soft file to buff down the template or tip. You can use a buffer block when only a small amount of tip remains.
  • You can also use cosmetic acetone to perfect the application of the acrygel.
  • Finally, don’t forget to treat your nails to allow them to regenerate easily. Also consider moisturizing the cuticles with a suitable cuticle oil.

Removing Acrygel with Semi-Permanent Nail Polish

If you have chosen to apply semi-permanent or permanent nail polish to finish the acrygel, the process will be similar to removing UV gel nail polish.

  • To begin, oil your nails and fingers with Vaseline or a special oil to protect them from irritation from the products that follow.
  • Next, wrap your nails in cotton wool soaked in acetone. Then, wrap the entire surface in aluminum foil.
  • Let the product sit for 30 minutes before removing the foil and then the cotton wool.
  • Next, file the tip and the artificial nail until nothing remains.
  • Dust and disinfect.
  • Reapply a nourishing product that will act as a nail conditioner.

Be careful when handling acetone. It is a flammable product that can burn if it comes into contact with an open flame. Make sure to stay away from it while applying it. Also, this product tends to evaporate upon contact with air. Make sure to use it only indoors.
